Colorfully Built to Reflect the Glory of God
Filled with many tribes and traditions, Ecuador was rich with its own culture when the Inca took over in the late 1500s. While ethnic religion remained stable, Ecuadorian agriculture, social organization, and law all took on a heavy Inca influence which can still be seen today.
With such a rich Inca influence, Spanish history, and Chinese influence through commerce, Ecuador stands as a colorfully and culturally diverse nation. This cultural diversity proves itself to be a gift from God, as Ecuador was uniquely designed to be culturally closer to the Arab world than many of the other Latin countries!
It is beautiful to see how, hundreds of years ago, God began designing such a colorful nation to have a connection with the Muslim world that so badly needs to know Jesus Christ as their savior.
Today, Ecuador has a moderately prosperous but quickly progressing economy, an impressive evangelical growth rate, and religious freedom with little social hostilities. Because of this, Ecuador's mobilization potential is high. Praise God for Ecuador's potential to be a significant force for the gospel!
