Many Islands with Much Potential

September 22, 2023

The archipelago country of the Philippines is made up of more than 7,600 islands situated in the Pacific Ocean of Southeast Asia. The Philippines is the 12th most populated country in the world and is the second most populated country in Southeast Asia. Additionally, the Philippines has experienced one of the world's largest diaspora movements of Filipinos moving abroad for greater work opportunities through their Overseas Worker Program.
The Filipino church has had a strong Roman Catholic influence largely due to the 300 years that the Spanish Empire claimed the Philippines as their own, under the conquest of Magellan. Now an independent state, the country has an emerging market, growing economy, and diverse geography rich with natural resources.

The evangelical church of the Philippines is growing and continuously realizing its mobilization potential. Because of this, we would rank its Mobilization Potential as Very High.
